• How are Blobelisks discovered?

A hybrid of sculpture, code, and conversation, Blobelisks are not designed—they are uncovered. This is the journey from digital randomness to physical form.

  • It starts with a conversation

Each Blobelisk begins as a prompt, with guidelines, given to an AI model to generate a new form. The resulting shapes are guided not by precision, but by intention and curiosity.

  • Machine output—refined with human input

The AI produces dozens of faceted forms. From these, the artist selects and tweaks candidates for printability, uniqueness, and emotional texture.

  • Intangible data is converted to tangible form

Once finalized, the 3D mesh files are exported and printed in gold filament, transforming floating data into solid matter.

  • Hardware is cut and installed

Steel rods are cut by hand and inserted into holes designed directly into the print. Each Blobelisk is mounted to a custom 3D-printed black rectangular base, designed to match the sculpture’s size and shape.

  • A Blobelisk is discovered

Once mounted, the sculpture reveals itself. No longer a file or print, it stands as an object with weight, presence, and mythic ambiguity.

  • The conversation continues

The artist’s dialogue with AI persists, generating new forms—but the conversation runs deeper. These works invite reflection on authorship, creativity, and what it means to make art in the age of intelligent machines.
